What exactly is the CoffeeB system?
CoffeeB is a revolutionary, sustainable single-serve coffee system that delivers premium coffee quality without any capsule waste. It uses unique, single-serve "Coffee Balls" which are completely natural and 100% garden-compostable.
Can I use standard capsules or other coffee brands in my CoffeeB machine?
No. Thanks to our unique, globally patented brewing technology, the machine is explicitly designed to work only with original CoffeeB Coffee Balls.
Do I need a specific machine to use CoffeeB balls?
Yes, you need a CoffeeB machine (such as the Globe, Horizon, or Cosmos models). Because the system uses laser-targeted moistening and a unique extraction cage instead of a plastic pod, standard capsule machines cannot process Coffee Balls and CoffeeB machines can't process other coffee single serve systems.
Can I programme the machine so I can personalise the amount of coffee each ball makes?
Yes. Take a look in the manual and the instructions are there.
Can I put more than one ball in the machine at once for a stronger coffee?
Absolutely no. Please one ball at a time keeps everyone happy and the machine working.
What are CoffeeB balls made of, and how do they hold their shape?
Each Coffee Ball is made of 100% premium ground coffee, pressed tightly together. It is encased in a protective, micro-thin, plant-based protective layer. This layer keeps the coffee fresh, protects the aroma, and ensures the ball remains stable during handling—all without a single molecule of plastic or aluminium.
How do I dispose of used Coffee Balls?
Once brewed, the Coffee Ball is entirely organic and breaks down naturally. You can throw it directly into your backyard garden compost heap or place it in your local council food waste bin.
How long does it take for a Coffee Ball to compost?
In a standard backyard garden compost environment, the Coffee Ball will fully decompose into nutrient-rich soil within 4 to 12 weeks, returning to the earth exactly where it started
Are the coffee beans sustainably sourced?
Absolutely. We take environmental and social responsibility seriously right from the cultivation stage. Every single Coffee Ball carries a recognized certification seal, such as the Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, or official Organic (Bio) labels. Furthermore, we strictly prohibit the air transportation of our raw green coffee to minimize our carbon footprint.
What is the pump pressure of the CoffeeB machine?
Our machines operate at a high-performance 19-bar pressure system. This ensures perfect extraction, delivering a dense, velvety crema and a rich aroma every time you brew.
How energy-efficient is the machine?
Very efficient. To minimise power consumption, CoffeeB machines are equipped with an automatic shut-off feature that powers the unit down completely after just one minute of inactivity. To switch it back on just touch one of the buttons or drop the lever.
How do I clean and maintain my machine?
- Daily Care: We recommend a quick rinse with fresh water before and after your first and last brew of the day.
- Descaling: To protect the internal heating elements and keep your coffee tasting optimal, you should periodically descale the machine using our specially formulated eco-descaler, depending on the water hardness in your area.
Can I use tap water in my machine?
Yes, no problem. If you are in a hard water area, we would recommend regular descaling and using filtered water (e.g. from a Brita filter) to keep your machine in tip top condition. The coffee will taste better too.
Can the machine be repaired if something goes wrong?
Yes. Sustainability isn't just about the coffee balls—it's about the hardware too. CoffeeB machines feature a smart, modular construction. This means if a component ever fails, it can be easily swapped out and repaired at our service centre rather than replacing the whole machine. Why should I register my new machine online?
When you register your machine, you activate your official warranty, gain access to troubleshooting support, and unlock exclusive welcome rewards, member discounts, and first-look access to new seasonal coffee blends.
Can I track my machine online order?
Yes. As soon as your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a confirmation email containing a tracking link so you can monitor its journey directly to your doorstep
Do I pay for the delivery?
In the UK all deliveries are free, there is no minimum quantity so order as much regular product as you want and never pay for a delivery. We may have to charge delivery when we run special offers so we don't lose money and if we do that, you will only ever get charged what we pay so we don't make profit on the delivery charge. Currently we have to charge for deliveries into the Republic of Ireland but we're working on it.
Can I set up a regular delivery under your subscription system?
Absolutely, just pick the coffee, the quantity and how regularly you want the delivery to arrive, and it will just turn up every time until you cancel it. No obligation, no contractual tie in just a 10% discount on the price and free delivery.
Can I easily change the subscription if I want more or less coffee, or a more regular/ less regular delivery ?
Yes, very easy, just log in to your account and make the changes. Simple.
