What does Café Royal Caramel taste like?
Smooth, silky and naturally sweet, with a rich, buttery caramel aroma over a mellow Arabica base. It’s indulgent without being overpowering, making it a great choice for lattes, iced coffee or an afternoon treat.
Do I need a CoffeeB machine to use Café Royal Caramel Coffee Balls?
Yes. Café Royal Caramel Coffee Balls are designed specifically for CoffeeB machines, including the CoffeeB Cosmos.
The system uses a unique extraction process rather than a conventional pod or capsule, so Coffee Balls can’t be used in standard single-serve coffee machines. Likewise, CoffeeB machines aren’t designed to use other single-serve coffee formats.
What is the Café Royal Caramel Coffee Ball made of?
Each Café Royal Caramel Coffee Ball contains 100% Arabica ground coffee, pressed together and protected by a micro-thin, plant-based layer. This helps preserve the coffee’s freshness and aroma until you’re ready to brew.
After brewing, once the coffee has been extracted, you’ll see the Coffee Ball soften and change in texture.
How do Coffee Balls work?
Simply place your Coffee Ball of choice into your CoffeeB machine and brew. The machine extracts the coffee directly from the Coffee Ball, with no conventional aluminium or plastic capsule required.
What happens to a Coffee Ball after brewing?
Once brewed, the Coffee Ball is fully compostable and can break down naturally in as little as 4 to 12 weeks. You can add the spent balls straight to your garden compost heap, place it in a suitable composting bin, or dispose of it through your local council’s food waste collection where accepted.
Spent coffee grounds can be very useful in the garden, but they are not suitable for every plant or soil type. It is worth checking how best to use them for the specific plants you have in mind before adding them directly. Check out our top tips for getting even more from your used Coffee Balls.
How many Coffee Balls are in a Café Royal Caramel pack?
Each box of Café Royal Caramel contains 9 Coffee Balls. You can buy them in packs of 5 or 10 boxes, giving you 45 or 90 Coffee Balls in total.
Is Café Royal Caramel Rainforest Alliance Certified?
Yes. All CoffeeB's Café Royal Coffee Ball Blends are made with 100% Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee.
That means the coffee is sourced from farms that meet Rainforest Alliance standards for more sustainable farming practices, environmental protection and working conditions.
